Fluffy’s 2022 Resolutions
January 1, 2022
Happy New Year! As we leave 2021 in the rear view mirror and roll ahead into 2022, many people are thinking about the things they want to accomplish in the coming year. For many, those resolutions may include things like losing weight, trying new hobbies, changing jobs, or paying off debt. Kitties are more than happy to supervise (and judge) their humans as they strive to make these goals. Of course, Fluffy also has a few resolutions of her own. An Emerson, NJ vet lists some of them below.

Get More Sleep

Cats work very hard on their napping skills. By the time Fluffy is a senior, she’ll be able to nap as much as 20 hours a day! Your kitty may want to beat her 2021 sleep marathon times. Or, she may want to go from 23 daily naps to 30 or even more.

Perfect The Pounce

Our feline friends may look cute and innocent, but they are actually tiny, fluffy serial killers. Fluffy may want to focus on her hunting skills this year.

Catch That Dot

Speaking of hunting, your furry pal may have been trying to catch that mysterious red spot for years. (We don’t think she’ll fare any better this year than she did before, but we’re still happy to watch her try.)

Master Teleportation

Have you ever found your feline buddy in one room when you could have sworn you just saw her somewhere else? There’s no proof that Fluffy has figured out wormholes or mastered quantum physics, but it wouldn’t be surprising.

Work On Flexibility

One thing that is unique about cats is the fact that they manage to fall asleep in positions we usually associate with knots and pretzels. Fluffy may want to become even more flexible this year. Or, she may want to master some complicated sleep positions.

Finish Training The Human

Does your furball have you wrapped around her paw? Do you feed Fluffy as soon as she meows, or let her push you to the side of the bed? If not, your kitty may have some plans for you in the coming year. Don’t worry, though. Your feline overlord may be too busy napping to spend much time bossing you around.
