Kristen

Kristen

Practice Manager

Kristen Wilson joined Animal Care of Oradell in January 2025 after working in urgent care in South Jersey. Wanting to be closer to home and part of a team where she could build long-term relationships, Kristen found the perfect fit at Animal Care of Oradell. She brings with her a strong clinical background, a calm demeanor, and a deep commitment to patient care.

Kristen’s journey into veterinary medicine began at a small general practice in Howell, NJ. Over the years, she’s worked in various types of veterinary clinics—each offering something new and helping her refine her skills. Through it all, she discovered that her true passion lies in hands-on patient care and building meaningful connections with clients. She’s especially drawn to educating pet owners, helping them understand their pet’s needs, and making sure they feel confident and supported.

Her interest in animal welfare runs deep. Since childhood, Kristen has felt compelled to care for those who can’t speak for themselves. She has a natural instinct for spotting strays and injured animals and has always done what she could to help. That same protective spirit now guides her every day at the clinic.

Kristen is also Fear Free Certified and prioritizes making veterinary visits as stress-free and positive as possible—for pets and their people alike.

At home, Kristen lives with two rescued orange cats, Marcus and Morris. The brothers love watching birds from the window and are known for their dramatic reactions whenever a squirrel or blue jay comes too close to the feeder. In her free time, Kristen enjoys reading, gardening, and making friends with the neighborhood crows.

Compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in her work, Kristen is proud to be part of a practice that shares her values.

Jeanette

Jeanette

Customer Service Representative

From dogs to guinea pigs, Jeannette grew up around all sorts of animals. Being around them generated a genuine interest in helping them whenever they fell sick or got injured. It comes as no surprise that today she is a receptionist at Animal Care of Oradell and is able to be around those furry creatures she loves so much all day long!

Jeannette attended Bergen Community College and studied in the technician program. She was hired as an assistant/technician at a local animal hospital, where she got familiar with dogs, cats and a variety of exotic animals. From there, she moved to a receptionist position at another animal hospital, except this one specialized in rehabilitation. Her latest and current stop finds her at Animal Care of Oradell.

As a receptionist at Animal Care of Oradell, Jeannette happily assists pets and their pet parents. Not only does she enjoy seeing and meeting a variety of cute cats and adorable dogs, she’s also able to interact with their owners.

Aside from an interest in animals, Jeannette has an interest in promoting special needs advocacy and mental health awareness. In fact, she is mental health aid certified.

Jeannette enjoys spending “mommy” time with her 2 children, along with spending time with her husband and their French Bulldog, Archie. When it comes to her favorite hobbies, she likes going out on walks, randomly dancing, and attending church outreach programs. And if you’re lucky enough, you just might find her outdoors, zipping around the roads while riding quads with her family!

Sherry

Sherry

Customer Service Representative

Sherry grew up in a small New Jersey town called Newton. The youngest of four children, she always had hamsters and eventually graduated to a cat, whom she named Spooky. As she grew older, Sherry began to realize that engaging with animals was more than just something personal – it was what she wanted to do professionally as well. Being a veterinary receptionist has allowed her to get her foot in the door.

Sherry had been looking for a way to further her knowledge in the field and decided to start her career right here at Animal Care of Oradell. She joined the team in June of 2023 and has enjoyed every moment since. Professionally, she loves greeting our patients and seeing how grateful their owners are, knowing that their pets are in great hands.

Outside of work, Sherry lives with her husband and their handsome cat, Mu-Shu, who may love Sherry’s husband a tad bit more, but is still her main man. They also have a bearded dragon named Pantera whose favorite things in the world are crickets and zucchini.

Aside from animals, Sherry’s second biggest passion is swimming. Give her a lake, pool, or ocean, and she’ll turn into a mermaid. A self-professed “undercover nerd,” Sherry also absolutely loves reading. Her other hobbies include cooking dinner and watching movies and television series with her husband.

Tracy

Veterinary Technician

Every company, institution and hospital has certain employees who have been there since the beginning. These individuals are a part of the core foundation of the company and have helped the organization achieve success. Tracy Baron is one of these people; she has been a part of the Animal Care of Oradell team since it opened. Today, she holds the ever-important position as office manager, making sure everything runs smoothly on a day to day basis!

There’s no complicated backstory, deep reason or underlying motive for Tracy’s decision to enter the world of veterinary medicine. She simply wanted to help those with no voice. Animals are voiceless creatures who need love and working with them and helping them was a perfect scenario.

To show just how comfortable she is around animals, Tracy is fear-free certified. She uses fear-free techniques every day at the clinic to cater to the physical and emotional well-being of her patients. It also helps her to deal with any fear or apprehension they may have.

Ciara

Ciara

Veterinary Technician

Growing up in Pearl River, NY, as the oldest of three, Ciara was taught the importance of kindness and respect by her aunt, who became her biggest inspiration. With dual citizenship from her dad’s Irish roots, Ciara spent her childhood balancing family life in the U.S. with yearly trips to Ireland, grounding her in both cultures. From an early age, she had a special bond with animals. During school, she would pet sit for family and friends, demonstrating that helping others was in her DNA.

Ciara’s professional journey began straight out of high school when she landed a gig at a local clinic. Following college, she spent some time at an emergency hospital but felt drawn to the slower pace of a small practice. In 2024, Ciara found exactly what she was looking for at Animal Care of Oradell. A firm believer that animals are not the only ones in need of care, Ciara thrives in educating pet owners and making a tangible difference in their lives. She’s passionate about being a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves, ensuring that both pets and their owners live happier, healthier lives.

When she’s not at work, you’ll probably find Ciara enjoying the great outdoors, whether she’s hiking, lifting, or just soaking in the beauty of nature. She’s also a proud dog mom to Toby, her calm, clever dog who’s learned every trick in the book thanks to Ciara’s patient training. Whether it’s spending time with Toby, hanging out with family, or having fun with friends, Ciara lives by the values of kindness, respect, and making the world a little better, one wagging tail at a time.

Kat

Kat

Veterinary Technician

Kat’s journey into veterinary medicine began long before her career brought her across continents. Growing up in Russia, she was raised by her mother, who was a music teacher, alongside her grandparents in a home filled with love and creativity. She studied piano, enjoyed singing, explored art, and developed a deep love for theater. Yet even with strong artistic roots, her heart consistently gravitated toward animals.

As a child, she frequently brought stray animals home from the street, determined to help them despite her parents’ reluctance to expand the household. Around the same time, she became captivated by a veterinary hospital television series that allowed viewers to witness the realities of clinical care. Watching veterinarians diagnose, treat, and advocate for animals sparked something lasting in her heart. She realized she did not just admire the profession — she saw herself in it.

Kat began her formal training at the Moscow Veterinary Academy, where she developed strong clinical foundations and hands-on experience that shaped her professional identity. Eventually, her path led her to the United States, where she continued building her skills and expanding her perspective. After spending two years in Upstate New York, she returned to New Jersey and joined Animal Care of Oradell. From the beginning, she felt aligned with the hospital’s commitment not only to excellent medical care, but to building genuine, trusting relationships with clients and their pets.

Kat is especially passionate about patient care, diagnostics, and problem-solving. She approaches each case like a puzzle, driven by the desire to improve an animal’s quality of life. She also considers it a privilege to support families during difficult moments, offering compassion when it matters most.

Outside of work, Kat spends time with her daughter and enjoys photography, art, guitar, singing, archery, and camping — creative and grounding outlets that balance her meaningful work in veterinary medicine.

Julia

Julia

Veterinary Assistant

Born in the Dominican Republic, Julia’s family moved to New Jersey when she was just an infant. Along with her four siblings, Julia was raised amongst a plethora of animals, from dogs and cats to hamsters and gerbils, to birds, iguanas and other reptiles. This hands-on experience helped shape Julia’s career aspirations. Today, she is grateful to be doing what she loves each and every day – caring for animals!

When Julia was in middle school, she started walking dogs for people in the neighborhood. After seeing how good she was with the animals, one neighbor asked her to care for their 12 week-old puppy, Ruby. In high school, Julia majored in small animal care, and officially joined the Animal Care of Oradell team in April of 2022. In addition to her work here, she also routinely pet-sits for friends and family.

Due to apartment rules, Julia isn’t currently allowed to have any pets of her own, but she often cares for her family’s Border Collie/Pointer mix, Birdie, as well as her father’s birds, Ray and Shade. Aside for her passion for animals, Julia’s hobbies include cooking, baking, coloring, drawing, hiking, swimming, and traveling. Not only does she have her own bread recipe, but she’s been told she makes the best chocolate chip cookies.

Leo the Cat

Leo the Cat

Resident Hospital Cat

Every creature on Earth simply wants to be loved. This is especially true for Leo, Animal Care of Oradell’s most recent furry addition. Leo doesn’t just receive love from the staff at the animal hospital – he gives out plenty of love, too!

Leo, a 16-year old orange tabby cat, found himself at Animal Care of Oradell when his previous owner moved into a senior living facility. Not being able to take Leo with him, the owner left the feline in the loving care of the clinic. Naturally, the adjustment to a new environment took some time but Leo now feels right at home. Inside the clinic, he has five large windows, a comfortable birch platform and a great view of Kinderkamack Road all to himself!

While the staff tends to patients and their pet owners all day, you can find Leo quietly slinking through the clinic, finding someone’s unoccupied lap to lay on. And when he’s feeling a little bit mischievous, you can find him digging his paws into someone’s lunch!
